May is Mental Health Awareness Month. With 45-50% of all parents and caregivers experiencing some sort of mental health issue after their child’s acute care experience in the NICU or PICU, we want to share for both families and any professional working with families and caregivers who have experienced trauma, the importance of connecting families to both peer-to-peer and mental health support services.
Join Dr. LaTrice L. Dowtin, Medical Advisory Board member and perinatal mental health counselor, to discuss trauma-informed care principles, the importance of both peer-to-peer and mental health support from a trauma-trained professional and ways to connect to community resources for the whole family.
This event will be LIVESTREAMED over on Facebook with a live Q&A, and posted afterwards.
Connect with families, read inspiring stories, and get helpful resources delivered right to your inbox.
