We continue building out the most comprehensive multidisciplinary group to advise us as we grow and fulfill our mission and are excited to announce the appointment Dr. Jori Bogetz to Hope for HIE’s Medical Advisory Board.
Dr. Bogetz brings incredible expertise and passion to the focus area of pediatric palliative care medicine. Through her work, she helps children and families who live with medical complexities focus on living the best quality of life and engaging with community resources to ensure their needs and supports are met to do so.
We are excited to bring her expertise to help Hope for HIE build out more educational resources, empower families to utilize helpful resources palliative care teams can provide, and ultimately lead to improved quality of life for children and families facing medical complexity.
Jori F. Bogetz, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and an attending physician in pediatric palliative care at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Bogetz completed her pediatric residency and an Academic General Pediatrics Fellowship at Stanford University. She completed a Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Harvard University. Her research interests include improving care for children with complex chronic conditions through interventions to support high quality communication and family-centered care.
