HIE Awareness Month is coming up quickly in April, and we are excited to showcase the diversity of our community throughout the month. One of the ways we are doing this is through our HIE AWARENESS MONTH AMBASSADOR PROGRAM. We are hoping to engage about 10-12 Ambassadors for the month, and will confirm our ambassadors by Monday, March 6, 2023.

We are looking for:

• Families from all around the world
• People living with HIE
• Diversity of experiences and outcomes
• Grandparents, aunts, uncles and other community members
• Super siblings

HIE Awareness Ambassador expectations:

• Be highlighted in Hope for HIE’s campaign: blog posts, day-in-the-life social media takeovers, video Q&As, and more!
• Showcase the diversity of experiences and locations that represent our global community
• Participate in any kick-off calls or collaborative group messaging to best connect and plan
• Engage and elevate Hope for HIE’s global awareness campaign
• Send templated outreach materials to local/national affinity groups (NICUs, other NICU support orgs, etc.) to encourage their participation in recognizing HIE Awareness Month
• Boost posts by commenting on Hope for HIE’s social media

If we get many applications for similar demographics, we will select through a random number generator, and encourage those not selected this year to participate in the many ways we have planned for the greater HIE community!
