Welcome Haley Thomas, LMSW

May 18th, 2023  | News

Hope for HIE is thrilled to welcome Haley Thomas, LMSW, to our team as our new Social Worker. Haley brings with her a wealth of experience in medical social work, having worked in the field for the past 14 years, most recently at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she continues to work.

In her role, Haley will be working on direct support programming for HIE families, as well as building our referral network to ensure families get connected into our support programming and services, and so more hospitals and referral sources know about the services and supports we offer. She will be managing Hope for HIE’s Peer Support Mentorship program, providing emotional support leading video support groups, connecting families with available resources including through the CONNECT Neurological Social Services Network, and building out a local ambassador program.

At Hope for HIE, we understand that each family’s journey with HIE is unique, and we’re committed to providing personalized support that meets each family’s needs. With Haley’s expertise to bring to the team, we’re so grateful that we can continue to provide the highest level of support to families impacted by HIE.

We’re thrilled to have Haley on board and look forward to the valuable contributions she’ll bring to our organization and the families we serve.

If you are a family looking for support, or a referring clinician wanting to get in touch to learn more about Hope for HIE’s support programs and services, you can connect with Haley at HIE.Support.
